Medical
The school has a sick bay and a part-time school nurse. The sick bay will house patients only for a short time as parents will be informed and will need to pick up any sick children immediately.
The school nurse will attend to minor illnesses such as headaches and will dress minor scrapes and wounds as well.
The sick bay is equipped with a First aid kit with the basic essential as parents will be expected to pick up any unfortunate sick children from school as a matter of precaution.
Please ensure that all medical forms returned to the school are filled in correctly with accurate information. Also inform the school of any important changes to your contact details in case of any emergencies.
Children will not be allowed to carry any medicines on them and in the event that your child needs to have medication, please inform the school’s PA & Secretary who will keep it in the sick bay for your child to access.
Parents can provide the school nurse with medicine your child may need at school for an existing condition such as an inhaler for asthma, insulin for diabetes or an Epipen for allergies.
Parents are kindly advised to refrain from sending unwell children in to school and allow them to rest at home to recuperate fully before returning to school. This will reduce cross infection amongst other students and staff.
